The Junior School PTA is a fundraising group made up of parents, carers, teachers and Governors. We are a friendly open group and welcome any new faces who might be interested to come along and see what we do and how they can help.

 

We meet at regular intervals, usually once a term, early evening in the Lodge. We have a Chairperson, Treasurer and Secretary plus other eager helpers to support all the hard work we do.

 

A few of the things we do:-

School Discos, around 4 throughout the year which enable us to make a contribution to school trips which in turn saves each parent about £5 on the cost of a trip.

 

Book at Bedtime, children come back to school at 6:00pm in pjs and dressing gown and are read a story by either an adult or a competent Yr 6 reader. Hot chocolate or squash and a biscuit are provided.

 

Christmas Fair, an after school event with lots of stall, hot food and popular enterprise event involving each class designing, creating and selling a product on a set budget.

 

Annual Quiz Night, a fun, informal time when you and your team of failed mastermind applicants battle it out to show who knows the most useless information. Family, friends and staff form teams to compete for the prestigious trophy.

 

Float, so we can take part in the Chipping Sodbury Carnival we design and create a float through various workshops. If you want to get involved our Float Organiser is Tony Haas.

 

Summer Fair, another fun day for all the family and friends to enjoy.

 

Bags to School, this is when you can send any unwanted, good quality clothing in to school and we can raise funds by recycling it.
